Daphne Cummings

Daphne Cummings is currently the Director of Early Learning and Literacy for Marin Promise Partnership. Before moving into her current position, she was the Director of Preschools for the Shoreline Unified School District overseeing multiple preschool sites across West Marin. Ms. Cummings was the director for the West Marin non-profit preschool Shoreline Acres for over 8 years and has experience working in the Early Care and Learning field in Marin County for over 12 years. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from UNC-Greensboro and a MA in Education: Curriculum, Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State University. Ms. Cummings began her career in Early Childhood as an aide in an infant and toddler classroom and has continued in many different roles working with children and families. She serves as the Chair of the Marin County Child Care Commission.

Daphne Cummings and her husband have two daughters and are active members in the Nativity of Christ Parish participating in the Choir, Sunday School, and Greek Dancing ministries.
